Choose a provider for the work you actually need

A directory helps you find businesses by service and location. A useful shortlist considers the provider’s published capabilities, geographic coverage and fit for your cargo or sourcing requirement. Business location alone does not establish the full route or service scope.

Match capabilities to your requirement

Identify whether you need freight forwarding, product sourcing, supply, customs support, insurance or another service. Check the relevant origin and destination, cargo characteristics and any special handling. Ask about requirements that are not explicitly covered by the profile.

Match capabilities to your requirement

Compare evidence and communication

Review the information and documents the provider has made public, then ask questions about your specific project. Keep a record of the contact person, proposed scope, assumptions and response times. A profile badge does not replace checking the suitability of a particular service.

Compare evidence and communication

Request comparable proposals

Send the same brief to each shortlisted provider. Compare the included work, exclusions, milestones, charges and responsibility for third parties. Resolve differences before choosing a proposal so the lowest headline price does not hide a different scope.

Questions before you proceed

How can I get a useful quote?

Describe the product or service, origin and destination, quantities, dimensions, timing and any special handling. Include the assumptions behind your estimate so providers can respond on a comparable basis.

What should I confirm before proceeding?

Ask the selected provider to confirm the scope, currency, exclusions, validity, required documents and next steps in writing. A published listing or planning estimate is not a confirmed booking or purchase order.
